On The Tee: Trevor Cash

Team Member Spotlight: Trevor Cash

Born in the small east Texas town of Athens, Trevor Cash moved about 2 hours away to the DFW metroplex when he was eight years old to the city of Lewisville. He picked up a golf club for the first time six months before starting high school, and after almost making the Lewisville High School golf team as a freshman, he’d go on to play varsity golf for the next three years. 

Celebrating one year at The Indoor Golf Shop, Trevor is a Lead Support and Tech Customer Service Representative, offering customer service support to our valued clients and tech installations as well. 

Trevor, with his wife and two dogs,  joined The Indoor Golf Shop team after spending two years at Dick’s Sporting Goods and two more at TaylorMade Golf. His background in the game and knowledge of technology has made him a vital cog in our operation. 

He started playing golf with his dad and grandfather when he was 15 years old and was playing well pretty quickly. “Back then, I was able to pick up most sports rather fast and was a decent athlete. Golf was one of them. I loved hanging out with my friends outdoors,” he shares.
 

Trevor thought about becoming a high school golf coach and studied kinesiology after high school, while considering the merits of pursuing PGA membership. He loves teaching and sharing his abilities with others and demonstrated that at TaylorMade and Dick’s before joining our team here at The Indoor Golf Shop.

Today Trevor is a 4 handicap and enjoys hitting the links with his Indoor Golf Shop colleagues. “We have some really good times on the golf course,” he adds. 

On the job, Trevor’s daily role is to answer customer calls and questions about our wide array of offerings. He does what he thinks is best for the customer in order to make them happy and build loyal customers. 

Trevor’s duties often depend upon the needs of those customers – some are looking for information on systems already purchased, whereas others are just beginning the exciting journey to purchasing their own golf simulator. “I try to go above and beyond and provide exceptional customer service,” he explains. 

He’ll even download software when customer needs dictate that he log into their systems. He shows them how the software works and offers tips and tricks that maximize their enjoyment. Trevor also does a lot of product testing when new launch monitors are released. 

With all customer support reps also trained to know the tech side of the business, Trevor is proud to be able to provide such a high level of service to our valued clientele. 

Looking ahead, Trevor sees a lot of great things in golf’s future, thanks to technology. He cites the TGL Golf League that Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have started as a sign of things to come. The game is getting younger, whether virtually, on the course, or at golf entertainment venues.

Trevor sees many new golfers coming to the game and anticipates continued growth, thanks in large part to the stellar technology that has changed the way we play, practice, and even watch the game of golf.
