Bringing Realism to the Simulator Experience
Bringing Realism to the Simulator Experience
Bryan Hargis of Paris, Texas recently installed a golf simulator in his home, buying it from a nearby Indoor Golf Shop showroom in Celina. He found out about the showroom on the company website, and then visited the shop.
“I went over there and purchased it in their store,” says Hargis. “The team I talked to there was really knowledgeable about the technology and knew all about everything they carried. It made for a positive experience. I kind of already knew what I wanted, so I just asked a few questions.”
The sim Hargis ultimately went home with included a SkyTrak+ launch monitor, a SigPro hitting mat with a SigPro 3D hitting strip insert, and an 8’x10’ screen.
“I set it up in an old office upstairs in a detached garage,” says Hargis. “I do a little bit of everything on it. I practice a bunch on it, and then my buddy and I play a lot of golf games on it, as well as play different courses on it. Our favorite is Top of the Rock, in Missouri.”
Hargis says he is impressed with the realism of the system, right down to the padded SigPro 3D hitting strip insert. “This is the best Hitting Strip I’ve ever used because it brings you closer the real conditions you play on the golf course. I’ve tried other mats and hitting strips and this one performs the best,” he says.
Hargis says he has already been recommending Indoor Golf Shop to friends. And he will definitely return when he wants any add-ons to his current system.
