Golf Nets at The Indoor Golf Shop

Golf Nets and Golf Practice Nets for Home

A golf net lets you hit real balls at home without driving to the range. We carry practice nets for garages, basements and backyards: our own SIGPRO Golf Net with side barriers, ball-return nets from The Net Return, box-style golf cages, and large Cimarron enclosures. Several of these nets take an impact screen, so your practice net can turn into a golf simulator later. Want a complete setup? Our golf net practice bundles pair a net with a launch monitor and an optional hitting mat. Golf nets start at $79.99, and our team can help you match a net to your space.

How to Choose a Golf Net

Start with your space. Measure ceiling height, width and depth, then decide if you want a net you put away after each session or one that stays up. Next, decide if you want a launch monitor or a simulator screen now or later. Those three answers narrow the list fast.

Questions we hear most

Golf Net FAQs

What is the best golf net for home practice?

Our best-selling golf net in 2026 was the 10' x 10' x 10' golf cage, followed by the 10' x 8' x 10' cage and The Net Return. Start with the space you have: measure the width, depth and ceiling height where you will swing, and pick a net that leaves room for a full driver swing.

If you want a launch monitor and mat with your net, our Golf Net Practice Bundles put all three together.

How much does a golf net cost?

Golf nets at The Indoor Golf Shop start at $79.99 for a basic 10' x 7' hitting net. Box-style cages, our SIGPRO Golf Net and Cimarron Swing Master nets sit in the middle of the range. Ball-return nets and large enclosures cost more.

The Net Return lists its nets from $295 for the Junior up to $1,599 for the Pro XL. Cimarron lists the Masters Golf Net from $199 for net only up to $1,449 with a complete frame. Larger sizes and full frames add cost.

What is the best golf net for a garage?

Height comes first, since most garages have lower ceilings. Pick a net that leaves room above for your full swing with a driver. Side netting matters too, so a shank doesn't hit your car or shelves. If you park in the garage, pick a net that sets up and comes down quickly.

Our SIGPRO Golf Net includes side barrier nets and stands 7'7" tall. We recommend a space 10' wide, 8' high and 12' deep. The Net Return Home is 7' tall, and the 10' x 8' x 10' cage is a good fit where a 10' tall cage won't fit.

How much space do you need for a golf net?

Measure the net, then add room for your swing. For the SIGPRO Golf Net we recommend a space at least 10' wide, 8' high and 12' deep. The net itself is 9' wide, 7'7" tall and 10' deep with the side barriers set up.

The Net Return says to check the net width, height and depth, then allow room for a full swing with your longest club. Net height is not a guarantee of enough ceiling clearance. Taller players may need more than 8' of ceiling.

Can you use a launch monitor with a golf net?

Yes. Pairing a launch monitor with a net gives you shot data on every swing without building a full simulator with a screen and projector. Check the setup guide for your launch monitor before you buy, since space needs between the ball, the unit and the net vary by model.

Our Golf Net Practice Bundles pair a launch monitor from brands like Garmin, Rapsodo, FlightScope, Square Golf and Uneekor with your choice of net. Net choices include our rounded and rectangle nets, the 10' x 10' x 10' cage and the SIGPRO Golf Net with screen. A hitting mat is optional.

Can a golf net be used as a golf simulator?

Some can. The SIGPRO Golf Net accepts a top crossbar and a SIG Preferred Impact Screen, so you can project a course with a launch monitor and projector. Our 10' x 8' x 10' and 10' x 10' x 10' cages are also sold with an impact screen option.

The Cimarron Masters works as a frame for a DIY simulator space. If you want a dedicated bay with a screen matched to the frame, look at our golf simulator enclosures.

Should I buy a golf net and mat together?

Yes, if you don't already have a hitting surface. The optional mats in our net bundles are designed to simulate the feel of real turf and protect your clubs. They come in several sizes and thicknesses, so you can match the mat to your space and the net you pick.

Our Golf Net Practice Bundles let you add a hitting mat to a net and launch monitor in one order. You can also shop our golf mats on their own and pair one with any net here.

Can golf nets be left outside?

Most of our nets are built for indoor and outdoor use, but storing them between sessions helps them last. The Net Return uses powder-coated aluminum frames and a UV-protected polyester sleeve. Its push-button frame comes apart without tools so you can pack it away.

Cimarron treats its netting to be UV-resistant and waterproof, and its frames are powder-coated steel. Cimarron barrier netting uses UV-treated polyethylene mesh that does not shrink.

How long does a golf net last?

It depends on how often you hit and where the net lives. Warranties give a good guide. The Net Return covers its nets for 3 years or 250,000 shots, whichever comes first. The SIGPRO Golf Net has a 1 year warranty on the net and frame. Cimarron nets carry a 1 year manufacturer defect warranty.

Most wear happens in the center impact area. The Cimarron Masters adds a heavy-duty baffle behind the hitting zone to take that wear.

What is the difference between The Net Return Home and Pro?

Size. The Home net is 7' tall with a 7' x 3'6" footprint and weighs 26 lbs. The Pro is 7'6" tall with an 8' x 3'6" footprint and weighs 28 lbs. The Pro 8, Pro 9 and Pro 10 are 8' tall with 8' to 10' footprints, and the Pro XL is 9'6" tall.

All Net Return nets use the same ball-return design and the same 3 year or 250,000 shot net warranty. Pick the largest size your ceiling and room allow.
