Every ProTee VX comes with ProTee Labs, ProTee's practice and data software, and ProTee says the VX has no recurring software fees. ProTee Labs runs on a Windows PC and also connects the VX to course software such as GSPro and Creative Golf, which are sold separately. ProTee updates Labs often. Recent 2026 releases improved the GSPro connection and now send putter spin data to games.

The ProTee VX launch monitor is $6,500 on its own. A complete ProTee VX golf simulator package with an enclosure and impact screen starts at $7,299.99 with the SIG DIY Studio. Our SIG8, SIG10, SIG12, garage and commercial packages go up from there depending on enclosure size, mat and projector.
Plan for a Windows gaming PC, which is not included. Running costs stay low: ProTee says the VX has no recurring software fees, so ProTee Labs keeps working without a subscription. Course software like GSPro is a separate purchase, so budget for it if you want to play full courses.
No. ProTee states the VX has no recurring software fees. ProTee Labs, the included software, gives you shot data, swing video, a practice range, bag mapping, dispersion circles and a wedge matrix. If you want to play full courses, you add third-party software such as GSPro or Creative Golf, which come with their own licenses.
ProTee asks for a ceiling of at least 9 ft and recommends mounting the VX between 9 and 10 ft high, 3'4" to 3'7" in front of the hitting area. ProTee calls 10 ft from the hitting surface to the ceiling the optimal height. Because the unit hangs overhead, the floor stays clear, and ProTee says there is no required distance between the hitting area and the impact screen.
If your ceiling is higher than 10 ft, ProTee suggests a drop-down mount, an adjustable bracket or an extension to bring the VX down to the recommended height. Room width and depth then come down to the enclosure you choose.
The VX hitting zone is 25 x 21 in. (65 x 55 cm), so your mat's hitting surface should sit inside it. Because the VX is ceiling-mounted, right- and left-handed golfers hit from the same zone. ProTee says you can switch between players instantly without recalibrating or reconfiguring the unit, which makes it a good fit for families and groups.
Yes. ProTee says the VX works with GSPro. In 2026 ProTee Labs moved its GSPro link fully to ProTee's official connector, and later updates improved that connection. GSPro is sold separately. ProTee Labs release notes also list game connections for Creative Golf, GolfCore and Birrdi, all running through ProTee Labs on your PC.
The VX needs a Windows PC and connects over USB 3.0. ProTee lists a minimum of 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i7-8xxx at 3.00GHz or AMD equivalent, 8 GB RAM and an NVidia RTX 3060. For golf games, ProTee recommends Windows 10 or 11, an Intel Core i9-9xxx or AMD Ryzen 9, 16 GB RAM or more, and an NVidia RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800XT.
Ball data covers ball speed, total spin, back spin, side spin, spin axis, launch angle and launch direction. Club data covers club speed, swing path, face angle, face to path, attack angle, dynamic loft, lie angle and vertical and horizontal impact point. Flight data adds carry, total distance, offline, apex height, apex time, air time, run and descent angle. ProTee says data appears in under 0.3 seconds, with no stickers or marked balls.
No. ProTee says its golf simulators are designed for indoor use only, and its published warranty excludes damage from outdoor use. The VX is a permanent ceiling-mounted unit for a simulator room, garage bay or studio. If you want one launch monitor for both the range and your simulator, a portable model is the better fit.
ProTee's published warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. It does not cover accidents, misuse or outdoor use, and it excludes items such as impact screens, hitting mats and software.
The VX unit measures 83 x 20 x 17 cm (about 32.7 x 7.9 x 6.7 in.) and weighs 9.4 kg (20.7 lb). The ceiling mounting plate adds 1.2 kg (2.6 lb), and the boxed unit ships at 15 kg (33 lb). ProTee recommends a certified installer or reseller for best results, though it says many owners install the VX themselves with the included setup tools.
