How to Choose the Right ProTee VX Package

The right ProTee VX package comes down to your room size and how you plan to use your simulator. Here's a quick breakdown

Home installations

Home installations

If you have a dedicated room with 9–10 ft ceilings and at least 12 ft of width, our SIG8, SIG10, or SIG12 packages are the most popular choice. The SIG10 and SIG12 offer a more immersive widescreen experience for golfers who want a premium setup.

Garage Installations

Garage Installations

Our DIY and G-TRAK retractable packages are built with garages in mind. The retractable screen option is ideal if you need to reclaim the space when you're not playing. Ceiling height is the biggest factor — you'll need a minimum of 9 ft to mount the ProTee VX properly and swing comfortably.

Commercial Installations

Commercial Installations

For golf facilities, bars, or entertainment venues, our ProTee VX Commercial Package pairs the VX with the SIGPRO Commercial Enclosure, a heavy-duty enclosure built for high-traffic use with a seamless bottom screen design.

Data Tracking with the Protee VX

The Protee VX utilizes dual high speed cameras to track and detect your ball and club data. One of the best features of the data tracking with the ProTee VX is the ball flight detail that it provides when you are using the unit. There’s no need for specially marked balls or clubs, simply use your own golf gear. This saves time and lets you get started right away.

Ball Speed - How fast your golf ball travels.

Back Spin - The backwards rotation of the golf ball.

Club Face to Path - The relationship between the direction the clubface is pointing at impact and the direction the clubhead is traveling.

Attack angle - The vertical direction the clubhead is moving at the moment of impact.

Dynamic loft - The angle of the clubface relative to the ground at the moment of impact.

club lie angle - The angle between the shaft and the sole of the club

impact point (Vertical & Horizontal) - The location on the clubface where the ball is struck.

What Ball Flight Data does the protee vX Track?

Flight path - Simulated trajectory of the golf ball.

Apex Height - The highest point in the simulated trajectory

Apex Time - The time the golf ball is at its highest point

Total Distance - The carry distance plus any extra distance from rolling or bouncing.

Carry Distance - The distance between the impact of the ball to the first landing point.

Off Line - Distance the ball travels in relation to the target line (horizontal distance)

Air Time - The time the golf ball was in the air.

Run - The extra roll of the ball after the first landing.

Decent Angle - The angle at which the golf ball descends from it's apex height.

EASE OF SETUP WITH THE PROTEE VX

Pair the ProTee with our SIG Enclosures, DIY Enclosures, or a retractable screen solution!Setting up the ProTee VX is designed to be effortless—even if you’re installing a golf simulator for the first time. With the included mounting plate and hardware, you can go from unboxing to swinging in just minutes. No complicated calibration or technical expertise required. Being a ceiling mounted unit, the ProTee VX is perfect for right handed players and left handed players, no recalibration or repositioning needed. Switch between golfers instantly, making it ideal for families or groups with mixed handedness.

No need to move the unit or recalibrate when needing to switch golf handedness. This feature is great for golfers wanting to play with groups who may not have the same style or swing! Experience nearly instant feedback, your shot data and video replay appear on screen in less than a second after each swing. The intuitive software layout displays your results clearly, so you can review and adjust right away.

How to setup the protee VX?

1. Your ProTee VX includes a ceiling mount and hardware. You can find the mount already attached to your unit when you open the box.

2. Using the release lever you can slide the mount off of the unit.

Important note: The ProTee VX has a max mounting height of 10ft and a minimum mounting height of 9ft.

3. The next step is figuring out where you need to mount your unit! If the ProTee is mounted 10ft high then you will need to mount it 3'7" in front of your hitting area. If you are mounting it at 9ft then you will need to mount it 3'4" in front of your hitting area.

Important note: The ProTee VX has a hitting zone that is 25" x 21" so make sure when mounting your unit, your hitting surface fits within this zone!

4. Once you know your mounting height and mounting distance you are ready to mount your unit! Start by mounting the ceiling plate with the included hardware with the Arrow on the mounting plate facing toward the screen - we recommend mounting the plate to the joist in your ceiling for a stable installation point.

5. Once your mounting plate is installed, you can now slide your ProTee VX into place and lock it using the release / locking knob.
