The Optoma ZW351ST-B is a 3,600-lumen DuraCore laser projector with a short throw lens, built to put a big golf simulator image into a tight space. Optoma designed it as a value-focused golf sim projector: bright enough for simulation, entertainment and gaming, compact enough to fit a home bay, and rated for 24/7 operation. It replaces the Optoma ZW350ST in our golf simulator projector range.
Short throw lens for small bays
The 0.521:1 short throw lens projects a 30-inch to 300-inch diagonal image from a projection distance of 13 inches to 132.7 inches. Optoma quotes a 150-inch image from less than 6 feet away. Placing the projector closer to the screen reduces the shadow a golfer casts and frees up more usable hitting area. Use our screen size calculator to check the mounting distance for your screen.
Easy to line up
Horizontal and vertical keystone correction of plus or minus 15 degrees, plus four-corner adjustment, square the image to your screen. With the Optoma Smart Control app, Smart Fit uses your phone's camera to align the picture automatically. The ZW351ST-B installs at any angle through 360 degrees, supports portrait mode, and Optoma lists its OCM815B ceiling mount as compatible. Brightness, contrast and Golf Sim Mode
The ZW351ST-B delivers 3,600 lumens, measured in accordance with ISO 21118, with a 300,000:1 native contrast ratio and a 2,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Its native resolution is WXGA, 1280 x 800, a 16:10 picture, and it accepts signals up to 1080p and WUXGA. Golf Sim Mode tunes color and contrast for golf simulator software, and input lag is 8.4 ms at 1080p and 120 Hz.
DuraCore laser, built to run
The DuraCore laser light source is rated for up to 30,000 hours in Eco mode, with no lamps to replace, and it switches on and off instantly. The optical engine is IP6X sealed against dust, which suits garages and bays where dust from mats and swings builds up. The projector is rated for 24/7 operation and runs at 27 dB in Eco mode and 39 dB in Bright mode.
Connections and control
Inputs include two HDMI 1.4 ports, VGA and a 3.5 mm audio in, and the HDMI inputs support the HDMI 1.4a 3D formats. There are two USB-A ports, a 3.5 mm audio out, RS232, RJ45 with LAN control, a 12V trigger and a 3D sync output, and a built-in 15W speaker. A business remote and a Bluetooth dongle come in the box, firmware updates arrive over the air, and the projector works with Optoma Management Suite.
Size, power and warranty
The body measures 10.8 x 8.5 x 4.5 inches and weighs 6.25 lb. It runs on 100 to 240V AC power and draws 118W in Eco mode, 180W in Bright mode and no more than 0.5W in standby. A security bar, a Kensington lock slot and password protection help secure it. Optoma covers the projector with a one-year parts and labor limited warranty, and the light source for five years or 12,000 hours, whichever comes first.
