The Net Return Golf Nets – Hit, Return, Repeat
The Net Return is the original automatic ball-return golf net. Its patented S-shaped frame absorbs your shot and sends the ball back toward you, so you can keep practicing with a single ball instead of chasing a bucket around the garage. More swings, less walking: that is the whole idea, and it is why so many golfers build their home practice around one.
Eight Sizes for Every Space
Every Net Return is made with the same materials and differs only in size, so you can choose purely on the space you have. The manufacturer lists the sizes as width x height:
Junior, 4'6" x 4'6" with a 2'4" base depth, 15 lb. Mini, 5' x 6', 24 lb. Home, 7' x 7', 26 lb. Pro, 8' x 7'6", 28 lb. Pro 8, 8' x 8', 32 lb. Pro 9, 9' x 8', 33 lb. Pro 10, 10' x 8', 34 lb. Pro XL, 10' x 9'6", 48 lb. Every size except the Junior stands on a 3'6" base.
The Junior gives younger players a compact place to practice, the Mini suits full swings in smaller rooms, and the Pro sizes open up the hitting area for golfers who want more margin on every shot.
How the Ball Return Works
The design does the work, with no motor involved. The loose upper net absorbs the shot, a lower channel gathers the ball, and gravity rolls it back toward your hitting position. Absorb, guide, return. The netting is rated for ball speeds up to 225 mph, so it is built for full swings with the driver as well as wedges.
More Swings in Less Time
Because the ball comes back on its own, a session with a single ball can include dozens of swings in a few minutes, and you never have to step into the net mid-practice to collect. That rhythm feels much closer to a range session, without the drive or the wait for a bucket.
Materials That Last
The frame is powder-coated, aircraft-grade aluminum that resists rust, with stainless-steel push buttons and color-coded connections that click together. The heavy-duty polyester netting is commercial grade and UV protected, made for practice indoors and out. For a net that stays outside permanently, the manufacturer recommends an outdoor cover for extra protection from harsh weather.
Tool-Free Setup and Storage
Most Net Return nets assemble in under five minutes, without tools. When you are done, the push-button frame comes apart just as quickly and packs into the included duffle bag, so the net can live in the garage, the spare room or the backyard and move between them with the seasons. Assembly guides and videos are on the Net Return assembly page.
Planning Your Space
Check the net dimensions against your room, then leave room for a full swing with your longest club. Net height alone does not decide the ceiling you need, because your club travels above your head. Our guide on how much space you need for a golf simulator covers the clearances to check. If you hit indoors or with family nearby, add The Net Return Side Barriers to keep mishits in the hitting area; they are sold separately.
Who The Net Return Is For
The Net Return suits golfers who want maximum reps in minimum time, families with players of different ages, and anyone who wants a net that sets up and stores without tools. It is also a multi-sport net, so it earns its place even on days you are not hitting golf balls. Browse the full The Net Return range, or compare every option in our best golf nets guide.
Each net is backed by The Net Return's warranty: 3 years or 250,000 shots on the net, whichever comes first, with terms and exclusions that apply.
