Bushnell Tour Hybrid: laser and GPS with slope in one rangefinder

The Tour Hybrid is Bushnell Golf's Tour series laser rangefinder with GPS built in. Bushnell calls it its first device to show slope-compensated laser distances and slope-compensated GPS distances together in the display. You laser the exact distance to the pin and see GPS front, centre and back yardages to the green in the same viewfinder, with no phone and no signal needed.

Laser for the pin, GPS for the green

The laser ranges from 5 to 1,300 yards and is accurate to within one yard at 500 yards, and Bushnell rates it at 500+ yards to a flag. The onboard GPS fills in the context around that pin. Bushnell lists access to 40,000+ golf courses worldwide, and its Dynamic Green technology rotates the front, centre and back numbers to match where you are standing, so a green approached from the side reads correctly. Auto Hole Advance moves to the next hole when you reach the tee box, and you can step through holes by hand with the buttons on top.

Slope on both laser and GPS numbers

Bushnell says its patented slope algorithm factors in ball trajectory, not just elevation, to give a "plays as" distance. On the Tour Hybrid that compensation applies to the lasered distance and, once you have ranged a target, to the GPS front, centre and back numbers too.

Slope-Switch for competition

The external Slope-Switch turns slope off for both laser and GPS. With slope disabled, Bushnell describes the Tour Hybrid as conforming for tournament play.

PinSeeker with Visual JOLT

PinSeeker picks out the flag rather than the trees behind it. Enhanced JOLT vibrations and a red flashing ring around the display confirm that you have locked onto the pin.

Bushnell Golf app, no subscription

The Tour Hybrid pairs with the free Bushnell Golf app over Bluetooth. The app updates the course database wirelessly and lets you change the device settings, and it adds aerial views and flyovers, scorekeeping and tee time booking. Bushnell states there are no subscription fees for its laser rangefinders.

Patented, Tour-trusted slope

Bushnell says its slope algorithm factors in ball trajectory, not just elevation, to calculate a plays-as distance. The Slope-Switch turns slope off for both, and Bushnell describes the device as conforming for tournament play with slope disabled.

Lock on and go

PinSeeker picks out the flag instead of the trees behind it, and enhanced JOLT vibrations with a red flashing ring confirm the lock. The integrated BITE magnetic mount holds the Tour Hybrid on a metal cart bar for quick access. It is rated IPX6 for water resistance and uses 6x fully multi-coated optics with a 24mm objective lens.
