I was honestly hoping for better performance from this unit, but for the price, it’s pretty good. I first had an issue getting the device to read all of my shots consistently. I talked to a guy in tech support and realized that I only had 7 feet from ball to screen. After giving it 8 feet and turning off the auto sleep function, it read all of my air shots consistently. Another minor gripe I have with the unit is that you can’t change the WiFi network, so your PC has to connect to directly to the unit. If you don’t have an Ethernet cable, or the ability to connect to two WiFi networks at the same time, you can’t be on the internet at the same time. I think that is annoying. Add an Ethernet port Flightscope!! After working through all of the above minor annoyances, I now wish I could get it to consistently read soft putts and light chips. I need to call support again to see what I can learn to at least get things to optimal, but for the moment, I just have to use autoputt and large gimme circles… Overall, to save $13K versus some of my other options, and not have to pay a yearly fee, I think this is a fantastic option with totally acceptable performance. With some minor changes, I think flightscope could improve the usability of the device. Even an FAQ could help with some things…. I’d buy it again if this were my price point. I might sell this one and upgrade sometime soon. If you just want to use it to improve irons, woods, hybrids, and driver, this is great. If you want to game with it, it is acceptable until you get to the short game, then …. It has been lame for me (so far!). Hope that helps.
