Yes — for full spin data (spin rate and spin axis), the MLM2PRO requires RPT-marked golf balls. Three Callaway RPT balls are included in the box. Without RPT balls, the unit still measures ball speed, launch angle, carry distance, and club data, but spin measurements are not captured.

The MLM2PRO ships with a 45-day Premium Membership trial. After the trial, a Premium subscription at $199/year (or $499 one-time lifetime license) is required to maintain access to full data, GSPro, E6 Connect, and the Rapsodo simulation platform. The subscription also includes Impact Vision — slow-motion video of every shot.

Yes — the MLM2PRO is a hybrid radar-plus-camera unit that works both indoors and outdoors. For indoor use, it requires approximately 8 feet behind the hitting position. Impact Vision slow-motion video also functions indoors, which is a feature not available on purely radar-based competitors.

In a May 2025 update, Rapsodo added directly measured Club Path and Angle of Attack to the MLM2PRO, bringing the total data point count to 16. Previously these metrics were estimated algorithmically. The update represents a meaningful accuracy improvement for club data and makes the MLM2PRO more competitive with photometric units at its price point.

Yes — for ball data, the MLM2PRO is one of the most accurate units available under $1,000, particularly when RPT balls are used for spin measurement. Its dual-camera hybrid system captures more data at impact than pure radar units, and the Impact Vision video gives a visual reference for every shot.
