Golf Simulator Enclosures at The Indoor Golf Shop

Golf Simulator Enclosures

A golf simulator enclosure is the frame, impact screen and surround that turn a spare room or garage bay into a hitting space. We design and build our own SIG and SIGPRO enclosures and ship them from our facility in Celina, TX. Pick a SIG8, SIG10 or SIG12 kit with push-pin poles included, save with a DIY kit that uses 1" EMT pipe from a hardware store, or step up to the SIGPRO Commercial for a 2" frame. Custom sizes are one of our most popular options: we build the enclosure to the exact width, height and depth of your room.

Golf Simulator Enclosure Sizes Compared

Start with your room. Measure width, ceiling height and depth, then pick the largest frame that leaves at least 6 inches on each side. Taller frames give a bigger image but need more ceiling for a full driver swing.

Questions we hear most

Golf Simulator Enclosure FAQs

What is the best golf simulator enclosure?

Our best-selling enclosure is the SIG10, followed by the SIG12. The SIG10 fits most home rooms: plan for about 11'10" of width with a 9' or higher ceiling. The SIG12 gives you a bigger screen in a wider room with a 10' or higher ceiling.

If your room is not a standard size, custom sizes are one of our most popular options. We build the enclosure to the exact width, height and depth you need.

How much does a golf simulator enclosure cost?

Our DIY Enclosure Kit starts at $1,295.99. It includes the screen, surround, fittings, padding, side netting and sandbags, and you buy the 1" EMT pipe at a hardware store. The SIG8, SIG10 and SIG12 cost more because the push-pin pole frame is included.

The SIGPRO Commercial is priced by height, width and depth, and its 2" pipe frame kit is an add-on. Custom sizes are priced from the dimensions you enter.

Can I get a custom size golf simulator enclosure?

Yes. With the SIG Custom DIY Enclosure you enter your height, width and depth, we custom-cut the SIGPRO Premium screen and surround, and you build the frame from 1" EMT. The SIGPRO Custom Commercial Enclosure works the same way with a 2" frame, which you can source locally or order from us as a pipe frame kit.

For odd rooms, vaulted ceilings or a full install, our custom design team can render the room and build it for you.

What size golf simulator enclosure do I need?

Measure your room width and leave at least 6 inches on each side of the frame. That means about 9'4" of width for a SIG8, 11'10" for a SIG10 and 13'2" for a SIG12. Our room guide suggests 12 ft of width as comfortable and 14 ft or more if you want a centered tee for right- and left-handed players.

For depth, plan on 15 ft minimum and 16 ft recommended, with the tee about 10 to 12 ft from the screen.

How high does the ceiling need to be for a golf simulator enclosure?

The SIG8 and SIG10 frames are 8'4" tall and the SIG12 is 9'4" tall. The frame is only part of it: you also need room to swing a driver. Our room guide lists 8 ft 6 in as the minimum, 9 ft as recommended and 10 ft or more as ideal.

We suggest 9 ft or more for the SIG8 and SIG10 and 10 ft or more for the SIG12, depending on your height and swing. Test a full driver swing on a mat before you order.

What comes with a SIG enclosure kit?

SIG8, SIG10 and SIG12 kits include the SIGPRO Premium impact screen, a black surround, protective foam padding for the poles, color-coded push-pin poles and connectors, and 6" ball bungees to attach the screen and surround. The frame goes up without tools.

The SIGPRO Premium screen has double-stitched vinyl edges with grommets and is built to take ball strikes up to 250 MPH.

What is the difference between a DIY enclosure and a SIG enclosure?

The frame. A SIG enclosure ships with color-coded push-pin poles. The DIY Enclosure Kit includes everything else, plus side barrier netting and sandbags, but you buy 1" EMT conduit locally and cut it to length. That saves money and shipping cost.

The DIY kit comes with 2 L-shaped, 6 three-way and 3 straight canopy fittings, and comes in 10 sizes and four aspect ratios.

Can I mount a projector or launch monitor to the enclosure?

Yes, on the SIGPRO Commercial. Its 2" frame is strong enough to hold a projector and launch monitor with our enclosure mount kits. Depths of 10 ft or more include a crossbar for overhead mounting. We recommend frame-mounting a launch monitor only on sizes taller than 10 ft and at least 8 ft deep.

SIG8, SIG10 and SIG12 frames aren't built to carry gear. Use a ceiling mount, or a Projector Shield floor enclosure with a short throw projector.

Will a golf simulator enclosure work in a garage?

Yes. A SIG or DIY enclosure fits a garage the same way it fits any room. Measure the clear height under the garage door track and opener, and keep 6 inches clear on each side of the frame. Our garage golf simulator packages bundle the pieces for a garage bay in one order.

If the garage still has to park cars, the G-TRAK Retractable Screen mounts to the garage door track and rolls up when you're done. It comes in 7 ft to 14 ft screen widths for 8 ft to 16 ft garage doors.

How long does an enclosure take to ship?

SIG8, SIG10 and SIG12 enclosures ship in 1 to 3 business days. DIY Enclosure Kits ship in 3 to 5 business days. Custom DIY kits ship in 7 to 10 business days, and SIGPRO Commercial enclosures ship in 10 to 14 business days. A freight charge for the commercial 2" pipe frame kit is added at checkout.

Every kit comes with an assembly manual, and the SIG8 and SIG10 product pages include assembly videos.
